SOLD -> AIWA HS-P202 Boxed, Excellent condition <-SOLD
DESCRIPTION
This auction is for a retro AIWA HS-P202. It’s the smaller brother of the HS-PC202, which was one of the top models and best sounding AIWAs, with Dolby C. It’s made of metal, very solid, not like those bulky, plastic ones.
It’s a simple, but high quality player. It’s very compact and stylish, and actually only a bit bigger that a cassette.
It has the following features:
- Auto-reverse
- DSL dynamic, high quality bass enhancer
- Dolby B noise reduction
- Tape selector
- Operation is possible with the external AA battery case

PARTIALLY WORKING. When connecting to a power supply, the motor and belts are totally OK, but the sound is very low in the right channel. The contacts in the battery case are a bit bended, but seems to work ok. Other than that, seems to work very good.
The head, capstans and rollers seems to have played less than 5 tapes! They are almost brand new, with no wear at all. cosmetically is in excellent condition, with only a few dots in the front door and very small scratches in the back.
For details, see the photos.
No black marker has been used (to hide scratches) before taking photos.
