No, it’s not a super-ultra-high-end player as you may be thinking, it’s the absolute opposite: the very first and most basic player ever. The Saehan Mpman was indeed the very first MP3 player in the history and had very basic features: just play, stop, next and previous song. And a mere 32MB capacity. Yes, you read […]

I’m not sure what Philips wants to do with this but anyway it’s a nice video about cassettes. There you can see some stories: transgressive records and Kissability records (who are releasing new music in cassettes), Awesome tapes from africa and other interesting stories…

I’ve just found a nice video about cassettes. It explains what most of us who’s been usigng cassetets for years already know, but it’s cool to watch to. The lighting is definitely something to improve. If the author improves that, his videos will be much better though… Anyway I liked it.

This is one of those machines that load the prerecorded magnetic tape onto an empty cassette. It does it so fast that it’s almost impossible to watch how it actually cuts the tape and sticks it to the reel, but it indeed does…

Today I wake up with a notification about a great new video from Techmoan. This time is more an educational video, and it talks about how prerecorded cassettes were made in the 90s using new digital duplication bins. In those years majority of people gradually lost interest on cassettes, in favour of the new CDs, so […]

Double decks have been the king of the hill for the late 80s and almost the entire 90s. Everyone had one of these at home or in the boombox. But there were a few decks that could carry with up to 5 and even 6 cassettes inside. These decks could do a 10-hour playing session without […]
