That’s exactly what the guy behind the Youtube channel called This does not compute thought when he felt he wanted to come back using cassettes. He explains his experience in an excellent video:
I found this while watching my wall in facebook and I was suprised not just for seeing how casettes are gaining interest over the mass population, but also because that Pioneer CT-F1250 and that hand are actually mines! Yes, that’s from my video of the Awesome mix from the Guardians of the galaxy movie: This […]
I’ve just received a new book published by vetroeditions in Germany about cassettes, walkmans and boomboxes, and… it’s very nice! The book explains all about the cassette culture: the cassette itself, it’s history, the walkman, the boombox… Here is a short video I made: I’m so glad that I collaborated with these guys sending them […]
I’ve recently found a nice, unknown gem: Ana[dia]log Youtube channel. That’s a channel about dialog of analog music reproduction, which is how the author calls it. It covers many different aspects about analog audio, like vinyl, turntables, cassettes, R2R and even walkmans recently. And that’s exactly the video I wanted to show you: I […]
I know, I know, cassettes can sound great! But you know, many people out there (and even here) do think that they suck and sound horribly, but cassettes scale very well with your gear. And if you use excellent gear, even a very old tape can sound great. To demonstrate that, I’ve made a video […]
I’ve found via Renzgi at Stereo2go forums that the famous very first version of the SONY TPS-L2 ‘guys & dolls’ is shown at Pawn Stars TV show. Looks that it’s still for sale in their shop: https://gspawn.com/1979-sony-walkman-stereo-cassette-player-tps-l2-guys-dolls-version/ I’m surprised that these units go for such a high price. Gosh! 1200$ is a lot of money for […]
I’ve recently seen this video that I found funny and I’d like to share with you:
If you love cassettes, I bet you’d love this hypnotic video:
I’m not sure what Philips wants to do with this but anyway it’s a nice video about cassettes. There you can see some stories: transgressive records and Kissability records (who are releasing new music in cassettes), Awesome tapes from africa and other interesting stories…
I’ve just found a nice video about cassettes. It explains what most of us who’s been usigng cassetets for years already know, but it’s cool to watch to. The lighting is definitely something to improve. If the author improves that, his videos will be much better though… Anyway I liked it.
